Shure finally launched their MVX2U compact XLR to USB audio interface. The device was revealed on my YouTube channel back in March of 2023. Recently, a Danish retailer posted a blog highlighting the features of Shure’s audio interface, but the blog was immediately taken down. I was able to grab a screenshot of the article’s title and description using caching. Google translate allowed me to make out that the article was in depth enough to signal that a launch was imminent. A day later Shure contacted me about a webinar scheduled for Wednesday August 16th. With that extra information, I speculated that a launch would take place Thursday August 17th. However, a random Google search surfaced that the device launched on Tuesday August 15th in the afternoon.
My initial thoughts on the device will be available Wednesday August 16th. I’ll also report on the webinar Shure is hosting that same day.
