This is my review of the Maono PS22 budget audio interface. Maono was kind enough to send me this device for the purpose of this review. Inside the box you get the Maono PS22, USB-C to USB-C cable, USB-C to USB-A cable, a 3.5mm female to 1/4″ male adapter, and documentation.
The Maono PS22 comes in an all-metal body with sturdy knobs. There are LED lighting cues on the audio interface for phantom power, input gain, and a ring around the output knob. The Maono PS22 has a mono or stereo switch, a mix knob, plus a TRRS port that outputs the entire mix to another device (like a video switcher, camera or PC). The Maono PS22 has two USB-C outputs. One of the USB-C ports is 24-Bit 192kHz while the second one is 16-Bit 48kHz. The second USB-C is intended for mobile devices.
The Maono PS22 routing software give you plenty of options. It’s a welcomed inclusion for a device of its class. At just $119.99 USD the Maono PS22 includes features you just don’t see at that price. Whether you’re live streaming, making music, podcasting, or creating content in general, the Maono PS22 has you covered. Usually, gear manufacturers claim they have a device that can be used for many different applications, but don’t deliver. When it comes to the Maono PS22 the hype is real!
